Recording: Week One

Here are a few pictures from the studio of us laying down the instrument tracks for our upcoming split 7":

 

Batwings split 7" vinyl coming soon on Us Two Records!

That's right. Us Two Records will be releasing a split 7 inch vinyl featuring Batwings and When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (Austin, TX) sometime in the very near future. We will be getting the recording done soon and will try to get this thing out to you guys asap!

Show date change

Our October show with The Chinese Stars and Lipstick Terror is being moved from Saturday the 18th to Sunday the 19th. We are still working out all of the details- but most likely since it's a Sunday show, it will start and end a little early. When we get everything straightened out, we'll let you know!

First time blogger

well... this my first time on this blog and would like to thank larry and bryan for putting all this hard work into this thing...i found out some troubling news on thursday that bryan/brian/bri-yawn broke his ankle...sucks man...

as soon as everyone gets back in town and everyone is healed we should be recording and getting ready for much anticipated shows...also if you would like to be in a music video send us some information because we are currently thinking/talking about it....

Samhain @ Slaughter House

Our buddies Manacle from Reno, NV are gonna be touring! We'll be playing with them at the Slaughter House in Hillcrest October 31st (All hollows Eve, Hallowed End, whatever you wanna call it).. Maybe an El Centro show the day after? we'll keep you posted!

Three One G presents... Arab On Radar "Sunshine For Shady People" DVD Release Party & Screening

Batwings to play Arab on Radar DVD Release Party!

We will be playing the Arab on Radar DVD Release Party, Thursday- September 18th at The Radio Room. The film is being put out by Three One G and is called "Sunshine For Shady People". They will be playing the film, followed by Bobby and JP (from The Locust) spinning records, and a performance by us, Batwings. It'll be Bobby's Birthday as well!

We want to give a huge thanks to everyone that came out and supported the hell out of Batwings at the North By North Park festival this past weekend! There were tons of people everywhere... and it was quite humbling to see so many members of other great San Diego bands come out to watch us. The Locust show @ the Rubber Rose was awesome, and Chaser's felt a lot like the old Scolari's Office. The only downside to the evening was that I blew out my amp (again)! Special thanks to T-Bone for always being so awesome to us, Bobby for letting me borrow some much needed cables, and Matt for locating my missing bag! We should have some video up soon (thanks to Giovanni) and pictures (if anyone sends any to us). We will be in the practice studio this month finishing up some new songs we've been working on. Word.
